How many people can you fit in a 360 GLT?

Post by petefarrell360 » 16 Jan 2008 12:46 am

Tha answer seems to be 9 having just seen it on Police Camera Action tonight! Tidy looking 360 GLT hatch in dark blue (if the colour setup was right on the camera, then not a common colour for a GLT) looking rather low at the back gets pulled by the Police, ends up that there were 9 people in there, quite a few in the boot.

And then near the end, yes another Volvo 300 gets chased on the motorway, fully loaded with people. I wasn't paying too much attention by this point as to what they'd done or much else really. It seems as though the steady and slow OAP image is being destroyed.

Flipping police.... I think I've seen episode, was amusing them all coming out of the car. Still, the police did make the only good shot I got all night tonight, didn't realise it was police, thought it was a random, so set the shot up on the off chance...

Shame my housemate who was with me had thought it funny to start stripping the car, and police got most intrigued as to why it had no horn push, and was therefore no longer road legal. They then did a full check of lights/tyres/horn before moving onto full MOT and insurance checks. Good job I keep the bloody thing in good condition!

There was something going on in the car park just up, another police car had blocked a random in (and was still there when I passed the other way 3/4 of an hour later), hence why I wasn't in the car park. I took pictures out on the esturary, and saw the lights, thought I'd go for the shot... then the blues came on! Thats the car pulling up to the car, and stopping to question my mates.

Wasn't best chuffed mates had pulled bits off the car, certainly made the coppers more interested in checking it over, but I came home and saw how well the picture had come out. Thats the first one I've managed with the camera that's got the background that sharp, so super happy!

Great pic Chris :)

I missed that episode of Police camera action, but I did spot a 300 in the the TV program Jam and Jerusalem on Friday (BBC1).

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology (BBC iPlayer - www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer) here's a shot. It's about seven mins in if you want to see it yourself :P

Is it sad, that although that's in shot for just a second or two, I instantly recognised it as a mk3 300

The series is filmed partly in North Tawton, Devon, and partly Staines, Surrey, but I spotted that it said North Tawton in the window of the Spar shop a few seconds before that frame, so if anyone has a white 300 there, it could be a TV star. If you have BBC Hi-Def, see if it's repeated and get the number plate :P
