I had thought about using a 960 IRS but complete and a normal box up front.
Good initiative

Now that's pretty nifty

Do you know what he used to mate to the torque tube splines? Dave was thinking you could use a suitably sized output shaft flange from a diff (i.e. the piece between the diff and the half-shaft).
cheers

That is awesome! Only one end of the 'link' needs to be removable, so if you weld up the 'thin' splined end, then use the huge Getrag splines for the 'disconnect'...job done
cheers

Wow... idiomatic troubles !
I've said that speaking of fit a getrag box to a 360... I assume that is a very strong box, but, a stock box can't manage a 230 turbo ?
I don't view the point... Please lead me to the light !
Sorry for the confussion !!

He needs to sort out all the bracketry into kit form, so people would just need the box and diff. I'd buy one.

I suppose it offers better ratios and more peace of mind, particularly for heavy use. Though it is probably a very expensive mod for those gains.

When you have traction, you start blowing up the drivetrain very quickly with the powerlevels of 250hp and above, so a setup like that gives you much less trouble with the drivetrain when you don't have to swap the box/diff every other week.
