My 360

Post by spin-king » 28 Jan 2008 11:10 pm

This is my firts volvo after 2 200sx's i thought i would try one of these as the 200's kept dieing (mostly my fault)

Its a carb 2ltr gl.

Sorry some may not like this bit.

Its lowered welded diff and bucket seats.

Will start stripping the inside out this week and fingers crossed getting some nice alloys this sunday.

I need a downpipe if anybody has one as mines blowing BADLY.

Going to get some wheels not sure what type and i dont know were to get them any help would be great looking for some wide ones.

Also after a deep dished steering wheel again not sure were to look.

I am very new to volvo's but after owning this for 2 days i must admit i like it.

Esp as all my mates have 200's and have spent silly money trying to go sidways.

And lasty are there any volvo 300 mania stickers to be had???

Manythanks.

VW wheels fit so there's plenty of scope for dished rimz as they say. Or for a really cheap option, various volvo 400 wheel styles are available (see the pic in my signature).
Steering wheel bosses are hard to come by but 205 ones fit and can be had cheaply. Your indicators may not self cancel though. Glad you're enjoying your 360, is that a 2" drop?

Cheers,
John.

nice wheels but I think they'd look a bit big on a 300. probably look hot on my e30 though and price is not bad too.

Looks a good car! Most of us really don't mind the lowered and welded diff etc mods, it's people who get them cheap, and deliberately just go and smash them up in a day to get a new one we get annoyed at!

Any idea what paint code it is? As to 300mania stickers, we really need to get some more done, we did some a few years ago and they've run out, I'm sure we've had loads of new members since then though.

For drifting you normaly want to stick to 13" rims to keep the gearing down. 14's are ok if you go for low profile tyres.

To be honest I don't agree with that really from my experience with the 360 anyway, might be the case with the lower powered 1.4s and 1.7s but I find my 2nd gear too short as it is, and 3rd a massive step up. Other than one really tight course i've done all the rest has been top of 2nd and I would have thought with tiny wheels it'd be right in the nasty gap between top of 2nd and bottom of 3rd, i've never driven one with rollerskate wheels but thats just my 2pence

Looks to be the same as my grey 3dr, which looks to be the same as my mate's 740, could check them if you like.
