After several months of inactivity I jumped into the 340 down the yard the other day and just out of curiosity turned the key.....

..... It started without so much as a jump start, and it continued to run around the yard untill... I ran out of petrol  . 1 trip to garage later and it was off again.

Now the 106 been out of service less than 2 months and its dead to the world!!

sorry but at the end of the day if a car starts after being stood up for x amount of weeks/months it's really down to the battery thats cranking chucking the amps in to the starter motor, not the car that it's attached to

Yep I agree, dawg, that man trippin' out he a 30+yo white bloke acting like a black teenage . Its not racist, it is a fact

But a chance to get the car done up and sell the bits that are too bling afterwards

Yea the battery does make a big difference but if da car no good it still wouldnt go !

I think Westwood is what he is, to say his identity is representative of an ethnic group not his own is, I feel, insulting to him and the ethnic group in question. He's a showman, an entertainer, and a free man - he can talk anyway he likes.

30+? He's FIFTY!

Rumour has it that Sacha Baron Cohen saw him warming up the (predominantly black) crowd on a stage at the Notting Hill Carnival a few years back with the line (and I quote...excuse the n-word...)...."Yo, where's my big dick niggaz at?". From that moment, Ali G was supposedly born...

To be fair, the FWD French diesel tat will almost certainly have an electric fuel pump, so IF it had a decent battery, it'd probably start far faster than the 340, which will have to fill the carb with fuel as it cranks. Of course it didn't have a decent battery...so it was just funny ;) We parted out a 106 a while ago. I'm sure they're fun to drive on a twisty road, but it was a naaaasty car to be in.

cheers

James

Ok Mr Swordfish - t'was a simple 'yey, go Volvo' comment, we all know a battery's role.....

Sorry Ronnie ,
its not often we disagree but I think Westwood is an insult to the very ethnic group he trys to impersonate and funnily enough so does my afro carribean foster son .

having met him he is shallow and false and makes empty promises he has no intention of keeping.
