Hey, that's Peter from Denmark's picture (volvo300). I wonder if AOL asked his permission before using his photo?

Hi everyone :D

Thanks Tom for e-mailing me this thread!
I'm a bit proud that they have choosen my pic, but it dosen't suprise me!
Every car reporter (including Clarkson) thinks the Volvo 300 series is SH  T!!!!

Fortunatly the ones, like us, that loves the 300 series has this forum to share our passion for this piece of motoring

We are like the people which has passion for italian cars! They break down, they rust and they leak (just like any other classic car)..... but we love them!

Just my opinion!

Cheers.

If the people who write these "Top Worst Cars of the 80's" type reports actually bothered to research period road tests rather than copying from each other, they'd realise that the 300 was actually quite well received in its day (once it was made available with a manual gearbox). Towards the late 80's it was getting a bit long in the tooth compared to its rivals, but you can't blame a design for getting old.

What gets me, Peter, is that they've used your picture without asking you first. I wouldn't mind if it was a V300 fan site, but AOL UK is a big company using your picture as advertising i.e. they're making money on it.
