Im sat here at lunch reading the fleet managers Fleet news and came across this under "my 1st company car"
My first job as language sales manager in 1988 included a Volvo 340. With a 1.7-litre engine, it was never going to break any speed records going along the M62.

However it was a step up from my 1974 Mini.

The Volvo had one particular advantage and that was it could cope with copious amounts of translated literature in the nicely sized boot.

As I recall, it was quite comfy - and it wasnt taxed so much in those days
Dont know how he managed the engine but its nice to see a good write up of the 340

I was going to say that, but I guessed it must be a fleet manager in joke ;)
