Loving the pimp shocks :)

looks like you mounted them with the Landrover bushes on top and bellow what its bolting into. you do this top and bottom? does that not make the hole in the bodywork/ lower bracket to big for them?
See diagram :) 5 year old drawing skills FTW!! :)

Not really because the bushes have shoulders on the meeting faces so nothing can get between them, dont forget aswell when the nuts are tightened down it sandwiches the bushes together.

Either way I have drove the car moderately hard since fitting and theres no abnormal movement whatsoever

yer sorry lol, I wont really know properly until the May drift day which i'll have done the oil in the front shocks by that point too so I can comment on both. If it's all good i'll post up part numbers for the shocks. As for fitting there exactly the same as fitting original shocks, no mods or anything like that

Im going to try using the landy bushes, as mine are currently sat in the knacked old volvo bushes with the centre collar missing, and they keep making some strange noises when going over the bumps :)

have you taken the front shocks out before? I just swapped my monos in the other day, and a good method without special tools is as follows:

get the strut out, put the damper nut in a vice (strut upside down) then put a bar on track rod bit to help give some leverage to undo it. Then once off you will be confronted with a strange looking fitting, use a screwdriver and a hammer to get it undone (gently, lol) once thats unscrewed you can proceed with the fun bit. Simply pull the piston out ;) - the seal makes this a little harder and it is quite possible to shoot 20yr old oil in your face :)

I suggest you measure the amount of oil you pour out if you are changing it, obvious but easily forgotten

Good luck

Jason

Probably best to check in a manual/greenbook on the correct way of doing it if you are refurbing, but thats how I did it as I had no tools that would fit the 2 bits that needed to be undone

I've finally regained some Dishu! yay lol! My minilites are FINALLY on, with a HUGE thankyou to my mate for all the help he gave with painting them, we were stretched for time so they have a blemish here or there, but hey, hasn't the car lol?

Many ideas passed in my head, my mate n myself finally decided on this in the end though and i'm well pleased with the outcome :D

Face is black, Dish n rim are yellow base coat with flecks of orange and green over the top, Lilt style yo'! Taped the front lights up today for a bit of fun ready for Donny this weekend :D Gonna give it a final quick clean before we set off later

As much as I hate to admit it, that does look good ;) I was dubious as anything when you mentioned it earlier in thread!
