Hey Guys was thinking the other day that ive been on this forum for a little while now, bout 2 months, and i never really introduced myself so here goes.

My name is Dan and i come from southampton, which for those of u who dont know is in the south of england lol. anyways my car is a 1986 340 1.4 DL, in a lovely faded maroon with 127k on the clock.
The car was originally my grandfathers and he used it as A run about for the machanics who working under him in his garage, years past and then sometime late 90's he passed it on to my mum when her 760 failed its mot, my mum drove this car for years untill problems with her back required a new car so she then passed it on to me, so the car has been in the family since new, I think, not sure when my grandfather purchased it, was a long tima ago tho im sure.

Since owning the car i have replaced the prop and the master brake cylinder and the bleed nipples on the rear drums. also many servicing bits such as sparks and leads.
Future plans for the car are, New interior, maybe wheels, new front bumper and sort out sum suspension probs and clutch issues.

The body work is a little denty lol but other then that and the fact the paint is faded is in good condition because there is nearly no rust.

I come down that way quite often to visit friends at Dibden and drink in the Bold Forrester (just in the forest ) when I'm down.

Welcome mate! As Mick says, I'm local to you! See a few 340s about, but don't think I've seen yours.

My first 300 was a 340 DL which I had huge amounts of fun in (I bought it to learn how to drive a RWD car properly). It was also totally reliable - I don't think I did a thing to it, not even an oil change!
