Post by Cloud » 03 May 2008 02:19 am

Ok, I getting confused trying to look for the exhaust parts i need. Does anyone have a pic of the 360 GLT 85' exhaust parts? or better yet can someone tell me exactly what i need? I see some for GLE GLEi etc...but are these early or later ones and so forth?

My 360GLT is registered 1985, but has an '84 spec and has the newer type exhaust fitted - HOWEVER, this was probably a modification sometime in it's life.

The older, smaller, straight through type of backbox is reputedly better flowing than the more modern doubled-back-on-itself design, but it has a narrower diameter tube on it and so may need some kind of adaptor to fit if you have a later type system on.

Measure the bits Cloud, there's about a 2-3mm difference in diameter iirc.

If the old ones less restrictive, why did they change it??

The same reason they changed to FWD in the 90s. (because they're silly).
That later backbox looks like some kind of hideous satanic bugle.
