Topics and messages seems to be gone! (unknown reason at this time but I'll find who did that!)

As SteveP said, the topic about the meeting in Gaydon isn't there anymore... Do you remember other topics that you can't find??

Have you still got copies of all the pictures (did you get the ones I sent you as well ) The meeting was a great success but its done now so why noy just put all the pics in the photo section that way there is a permanent reminder of a great day

Change your forum & hosting account passwords. Also, always make your own sql & other backups. Don't rely only on your service provider's backups.

And upgrade this phpbb board to the latest version, it has critical updates.

just a word of advice :D

1.0.11 is the latest, I belive, I only just updated to 2.0.8 (had 2.0.6 for aaaages!)... Security? Who would bother to hack into this forum?! Surely you must have Apache access logs that would cover anybody from another IP accessing pages in the /admin subdirectory? It seems very strange for an industrial strength database like MySQL just to 'loose' data like that!

You'd be surprised, mate. My mate had a forum about his clan for Quake II or something, and some Russian fool hacked it.

There are groups of these sort of people that do it for fun. I play Delta Force Black Hawk Down and we have a really huge community.. there are always reports of site hackings.

People who can hack will do it just because they can.

I use NukeSentinel on my PHPnuke site and have had 2 hack attempts reports from it.

You can get security "hacks" or "mods" for phpbb2 forums... Main places I know of is:

http://phpbbhacks.com just go to the security hacks section. These should help prevent any idiots trying to ruin this site/forums.
