I havn't added any all summer, so couple from France, and some from the Dorset Steam Fair. Spent today at Duxford, so should have a few more soon.

Couple from the other night (erm, think it was monday, but can't remember!) Havn't gone through my Duxford pictures yet, I seemed to take 800 or so
And finally, excuse the mud, and lack of front bodykit, she'd been through a 18" deep 50ft long puddle on a white road a few days before on a local 12car

Chris, photos are excellent as always
I did make investment, I bought Tamron 70-300mm tele macro zoom thingy, I did read comments against it but also those that recommended it, seemed to score better than sigma and was tad cheaper from where I bought it.
I have one old tele zoom, but could not find adapter to fit it to my D40, it is full metal + glass lens, it has not even single plastic part in it, would be great to find adapter to it one day, just to see how it performs.

You have snow already?! You are so lucky... I want to go skiing! Good luck with the lens mate, I love my 75-300, though it only gets used for things like airshows and motorsport normally it really makes those sort of things possible. Was standing next to a guy with a D300 at Duxford, with one of the *really* big nikon 200-400's, and we were comparing pictures most of the afternoon. My s/h 20d and cheap lens were managing to get as good pictures 90% of the time, but I guess if you are pro, it's the last 10% that counts.
Go out and play with it though, took me ages before I could get sharp pictures I was happy with with it. And remember to pan

Few of our skiing centers did open doors at beginning of October, but we don't really have snow yet.
Last week I was just lucky enough to be up north when first snow landed to ground and did stay overnight, next day it was gone already.
Those ski centers did store last year's snow and laid it on ground so one can ski now already, silly if you ask me
I did read that F8 is largest one could use with glass I did order, any bigger and image quality suffers, so I guess F8-F22 is usable range, it could make bit of challenge to photos taken at cloudy autumn evening as exposure time increases. If I recall right it was calculated somehow like 55mm would be safe for shake at 1/55 but any slower shutter speed and it would be easy to get shake blur. For 200mm that would be 1/200 which needs pretty good light for F8, imo.
I can be of course wrong as back of my ears are still wet so to say
