Ants have so much detail, but you just have to look closer:

That was actually 7 shot low to high zoom test, but it is bit long to put fully here..

Are they Black ants?

Kill them all.

Anything with more than 4 legs should be killed with fire.

I believe they are red ants, there is red in them at the middle

Anyway that is our most common ant, they build large colonies from such stuff seen in photos.

If anyone wants to experience bit of ice fishing, there is free game for PC available at http://www.kalassa.net/propilkki2/index.php?eng=1 it is quite good one actually, so good that you must know bit about ice fishing to be able to get anything, but I think youtube has videos and maybe even tutorial of sorts, just search with game name.

It is nice to play that at hot day, memory of freezing at lake keeps one cool, yeah sadly no temperature effects come with the game, it would be nice to have though, 4 layers of clothing before playing etc.

I used the bank holiday weekend to build an outdoor 00 gauge garden railway (the world didn't have enough silly plans in it at the time, which needed rectifying)

No need to kill them, they are dead already, nice 8 legged spider killed them and wrapped them to storage

Hello friend, there you are, click to see it better, pic was taken at night, big ones move then, when lights are out and world becomes quiet, they emerge from hideouts and start the hunt, crawling around, searching, there might be one under the bed right now, I saw one at end of the bed earlier.

I did hear it 5 seconds before it was at location, but only could see it for 1 second between obstacles, was taking pics from yellow leaves which always seem to come out badly. Thanks to auto-iso I had enough time to be prepared, tracking sound and taking single shot at right moment. Nice challenge and I'm quite surprised how well it came out.

That is '58, all original, with original 9hp motor, even rubbers at brakes are original, that is what one enthusiast told me about the car at another board from this vehicle that he happened to know few things.

That photo was one of those situations where be always prepared did pay off, also knowing how engines sound did help too as I knew what will come before seeing it

This might be some interest for all photographers and wannabes, long (and good) seminar that this guy kept:

So quiet in photo department, few shots from the yard to put some life to this area.

Cat is attempting to fly:
Image

Stressed cat throws gloves to floor, not sure if there is english variant of saying, where worker get enough and throws gloves in resignation.
Image

Black one nipped brown one, which is the boss of cats, so he does stare scare.
Image

I kind of like light in this one, poor camera is not quite good in details, but very good at being with you to get that shot.
Image

Lot of bicycling, one cycling trip was bit heavy with snow, so bike got quite well 'snowed'.
Image

Some are taking with world's cheapest pocket cam that is not so good.

We have "thrown in the towel", can't think of one with gloves atm.

I havn't taken many this year. Did get an air show out of the silly lens I bought, then decided it was all a bit pro so sold it on again!

I'm kinda regretting selling the lens, but I ended up having 18months worth of use without it costing more than a tank of petrol.

If nothing else, it proved that past a point, good photos do come down to the kit you have :s I hadn't taken many photos for 12 months before that airshow, but I got some really nice shots. Same with the rally cars in the previous post. My old lens just wouldn't have been able to do it.

V6Man (or it might have been MrsV6Man) took a photo of me with it, twas ridiculous!

Couple from last week

Elan Valley Dams, all over topping from the amount of rain we have had. I had no idea we had such an awesome sight so close.

And found a Church that seemed to have got confused.

Whilst this looks like it's bending the same way, I've turned through 180 degrees. The entire innards are on a continual twist!

And I took the Cyclemaster to Beauleieieiieei village. Met Toyota in the New Forest for a picnic and grabbed a couple of photos.
