In land where they still make engines like they did in 70's for top class racing series, one could sue them and claim all new car costs including purchase price from topgear

lol , the car was very much tongue in cheek ,

a bit of a mickey take of all the boy racers with its rs1600 i bonnet stripes and door stack stickers ,

but it was fun and certainly caused a lot of comment some good some not so good.

unfortunately the person who bought it had some problems including something to do with the exhaust , then it was vandalised so they sold it on and the person who bought it from her was full of good intentions but then scrapped it I believe.

Did anyone spot the red 340 in the new series of Top Gear? They had their new stuntman jump a large row of cars in reverse, and one of the cars it nearly landed on was a 340. :(

It won't be long before Top Gear discovers the attraction of holding a race in reverse, in 300 varios ...

TopGear is on my don't watch list because their passion of destroying perfectly good cars just because those are old, well 5th gear too.

Without stupid wrecking and destroying those would be great shows, but as it is now I can't stand either of them.

There's a show on in Cologne at the moment, where they wreck an Opel Kadett on stage to the sound of music. Every evening, a "fresh" car gets smashed up over the course of the show.

It's a great success, but I'm afraid I don't get it. That kind of stuff just makes me feel sick, and I don't care whether the car was given a one day reprieve from the crusher or not ...

I'm amazed there are any '70's BL cars left, the rate at which Top Gear keep wrecking 'em :-(
