Hmm. There was a road but all i can see now is...

This happened to me few hours ago. Not the most pleasant experiences i can tell you.. It has to be said that safety has come huge leaps in last 20 or so years. I wouldn't want to experience that in my Granada. It looks worse than it is i managed to get away with few scracthes and bruises.

This is how it looked when on the wheels again. It seems to me that damage is unrepairable but to be honest i don't care because i can still walk and it was only a Volkswagen.

Remember this when you go rallying or just drive for fun. That was model year 2000 and its pretty much destroyed. Imagine what will happen to 20 or so years old 300-series without rollgage...

 Insane! - are you ok!! - how did that happen?

even with todays safety measures that was very lucky! - you may have noticed the other thread in which us motorsporty types are sorting rollcages, this is perfect evidence as to why I really really want a cage!

It started understeering on loose gravel and off it went strait to ditch.
I was going about 60-70 km/h when that happened. And now pain starts to come. But only visible damage to me was when i released the seatbelt. So only few cuts and bruises nothing more. Thank god...

Yes i have thought about rollgage aswell and now i am even more convinced that i need one for the weekend toy and a pair of bucket seats and six-point harness...

Anyways good to see your all right.

just remember that a caged car is more dangerous unless it is properly done and you have the buckets, harness and proper padding in it (and strictly speaking you ought to wear a helmet but thats less important)

It has to be said that it felt quite nice in weird way when the car rolled. At one moment you are watching road and the next you see is windshield starts to crumble and comes toward you then all side windows breaks and then everywhere is tiny pieces of glass.

But to be honest when car rolls it isn't nice in anyway. And about 6 hours after the accident i started to think if i have had passenger with me. He or she would have injured. And i am glad that the girl who i have been kind of dating hasn't contacted me for a few weeks. If she had i would have asked her to come along when i went to bigger city searching parts for my KTM. I wonder how will she react when i tell her about this but it is another story.

It is good thing that even seeing pictures of wrecked car makes you think what if that same thing happened to me.

Lucky man, glad you're ok, modern safety features are certainly reassuring in these incidents. At the end of the day it's a car, glad you've got out of it and walked away. It never hurts to be reminded just how dangerous the roads are.

Holy crap! You're a very lucky person to walk away from all of that mess. Very glad you're in one piece.

Ouch. Can't help thinking "I wonder if a 300 would have stood up as well". Or "I wonder if the accident would have happened at all in a 300"?
