On the 3rd of august the seller would drive from Berlin to Holland to drop off the car at the storage location. And he did!
Unfortunately, the engine broke down when he was near Dortmund, still 150 km from the destination.
He called me and asked what I wanted to do. Did I want the car for cheapz or did I want my money back? Well... that was easy, bring me the car!
Luckily his grandma lives in Dortmund and his whole family was with him in their Audi A6 to pay her a visit. They rented a trailer (on sunday! (€€€!))and drove the car to me.

After the car was mine, we checked what could have happened to the engine. It would not start. The starter was powerful enough to give the engine a good jerk, but the engine only did *KLUNK*. Something was blocked.

My friend (Wouter, AKA Antiekeradio) opened the oil filler cap and said "I know what it is!"

What’s that?

That looks like…

A valve fillerplate!
The nr. 1 intake valve has a broken valvespring. The *KLUNK* was the piston smashing the valve against the head…
I hope nothing’s really damaged inside apart from the valve. A new valve and valvespring will bring it back to life. If not, in goes a B234F or maybe even a Turbo. Someone here in Holland has just fitted a B204GT in his 360, so I’m inspired!

The car obviously needs some TLC before it will look the part, but I’m happy for now.
Some of my Volvo-friends have some nice parts ready for me to pick up and another one is willing to do the much needed welding.
To Do List:
Welding on all 4 wheelarches, and / or replacing front wings
Welding on both sills
Welding or replacing the doors
Welding on the right rear quarterpanel
Fixing the cracked bodykit parts
POLISHING the h*** out of the paint!
etc...
Parts to be fitted:
A snowcap (no 300 can do without!)
Powered windows
Descent rear muffler (the stock one looks hiddeous IMO)
Descent size rims
Bigger brakes front and rear (I read Adam is working on that)
Bigger engine!
etc...
It will be a slow process since I don’t have a lot of time, but it will get there…
