They probably won't have had much in stock. If they're anything like mine, where the Parts Troll has a small breezeblock room with 2 sets of shelves and lots of 850/S40/V70 etc parts, but nowt for the likes of us.

Stratstone??

dont worry, all 30 Stratstone sites will be replaced by the end of 2008 or very early 2009 at the latest. The new dealers will either be on the same site or will be serving the same catchment area as the closed dealer but in this case would be on new site owned by the new company.

volvo uk are working fast on this!!

:)
Enjoy your 300s

Plenty of car dealerships are going to close in the near future - no marque will be immune

Volvo were fed up with complaints about Stratstone and have told them to bog off.
Terms and conditions apply. This post may go down as well as up. Regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Hard hats to be worn. No reversing without a banksman. No admittance to unauthorized persons. Stop that. Put that down. Leave that alone.

Good for Volvo - I`m amazed the likes of Merc and B.M.W. etc., haven`t done similarly - the whole ethos at Stratstone seems to be screw the customer and forget service.

Credit Crunch

Post by workshopmanualman » 24 Nov 2008 08:32 am

Here in Surrey a few big dealer's have gone to the wall, apparently due to the credit crunch. However, speaking to some still in business, they are actually quite happy with sales and have had a few good months recently. Going by the above post, it may be that the manufacturers then may be using this as an excuse and are cutting out dead wood and streamlining things back?
I blame the Volvo 66 estate I had......
