Hi all, long time no speak. some of you may remember me for owning this:
I also did this:

But since selling the car i have no idea what happened to it and i became curious this evening as to where it has ended up...the great scrapyard in the sky, tucked away in someones garage, or still chundering around as a daily driver
can anyone enlighten me. Thanks. mark

Regret selling a 300 series? I sold one of mine to scrap and never looked back. Holes in the sills, doors and wings. Hand painted Hammerite one summer day by moi - and then drove it away wet so it looked like a furry seed bank. Leaking petrol tank - I could only put 15 litres in it maximum otherwise I may as well have put the rest down the drain. Different brand tyre on each corner and the carb was leaking like a sieve - a 1.4 Renault unit eventually down to 14mpg. Ran it like that for ages [er, a year....] but when the heater blew in the middle of the winter, that was it, I killed the car. I mean, a 300 without a heater? That's their main attraction!! Actually that still took me a month to do as I waited for the MOT / tax to run out - had to drive in more thermal layers than if I'd been standing outside in the cold such were the drafts. I did offer it to the 300 community, but for some reason nobody took it on. Wimps.
To be honest, I think you'd have to be fairly down in the dumps to be forced to sell a 300 to raise cash. Is that what you mean by regret?
Sorry got to go - Kerrang are playing Paranoid by Black Sabbath for the 97th time today, so I'm going to take a hammer to the radio.

i bet you still sigh a little and look diagonally ip at the sky and smile when you remember those days.......................................
if it dies, bury it.
if it runs, run it.

...carry a photograph of it around with me at all times. Had the registration number tatooed on my forehead, and carry a vial of its oil around my neck.
Now my old 66, give you, I wax about that man! Oops, kleenex moment.

Wasn't it sold fairly recently? I remember seeing a similar car for sale/bought recently with a familiar reg - I thought it was that one...

Nah i dont regret selling it, mind you driving my stripped out 205 in the cold of winter is leaving me with frozen nuts every morning
As far as Mk2's go, my one was quite a tidy one and it ran pretty well...albeit, dog slow
