I love xj40s! They're silly cheap over here. Saw an early X300 XJR6 go for £2100 on ebay recently.

ive been seeing x300's going for under 1000 pounds, UK cars are cheap, im thinking if I have spare cash I might buy a car and ship it down if I do gt the time to visit next year

Jaguar XJS was one of my dream cars when I was a kid, that was until I learned about their reliability, still if I get someday storage space for 20 cars, I believe I could buy one of those too :lol:

Your XJ looks like new :shock:

Dont believe most of the crap jaguars are reliable and most problems are little niggles. Like the 300 series these jags are underrated and berrated by the press.

The reliability went pretty much bulletproof once ford took over, and it was never that bad anyway. The problems start once the cars have been neglected and poorly serviced. The big 6cyl all-alloy lumps in these are fantastic, smooth as silk and really torquey.
