Erm.. basically I have quite a few of the mk1 accessories but can't make up my mind whether I should wait for a nice mk1 to come along (one did but Foggy got there before me) or to just sell the bits I have collected.
The mk3 has always appealed to me more than the mk1 or 2 but it seems a waste to just sell the bits..
The only other issue I have is that the number of 300's I have is getting silly..
Here is the list: -
360GLT - HUG - Nearly Every Volvo Extra on it
360GLT - 3 Door Project - Replaced clutch, torque tube and gearbox in order to save it from scrapping..
360GLT - ON its way
340 Vario - Only 4000 miles on the clock 1500 when I first bought it..
340 1.7 3dr (currently for sale) - 1 Lady owner - Clean car, just got it through an MOT
So even if I find a mk1 I would need to get rid of one of the cars in order to take on the mk1..
What you guys think..
Regards
Jay

Off-beat question, but my 360 needs a bit of bodywork. Are you doing the work yourself, or have you found a decent bodyshop? If the later then I'd be grateful for their contact details as I'm looking to get some quotes. I'd ideally like to stop in Surrey, but most 'bodyshops' these days seem to just apply filler and paint - that I can do myself! - hence I may have to travel 10 or 20 miles, so Kent is coolish.

Definitely sell the bits. Not that I'd have any selfish motive in mind or anything
But do I remember something about a rear louvre? And extra gauges (old-style clock / vacuum meter / outside temp?)
Basically, anything you thing you might have a use for - keep. But if it's sitting around gathering dust, you already have a second set etc. etc. you might as well sell and do something nice with the cash to your MkIIIs ...
It took me a while to bring myself to sell some stuff. But from the money I've now bought my Mk1 and there's no point in keeping three econometers, two water pumps, stripes you just know you'll never fit etc. etc.

Jay, find a nice Mk1 and fit some genuine accessories... it'd only appreciate in value, far more than the Mk2 and Mk3's imo. The 300 hadn't been recognised by the time most Mk1's had died!

Hi jay.
I am after a few mk1 accories for mine.
Rear boot spoiler
Front spoiler
Ambient temp gauge [smiths]
Centre consol rev counter [smiths].
I have a rev counter fitted to the car at the moment but it is from a 1970s MGB GT. It works fine but an origional volvo one would be great.
Cheers MARK.

Hey Guys thanks for the advice..
Yep it does have to be RHD, yes a Rear Louvre was mentioned and am still holding on to the bits for a bits as I know the moment I sell them a mk1 will be up for grabs!!
Cheers Steve (find me a mk1!!)
Tom, you a right but instead I will get rid of the things I have 2 of instead of the mk1 bits which I know I wont be able to get..

Got 5 cars at the moment, way to much...Its a vario, and in the Netherlands. I know I will never find one like this. This is really one of the best ive seen (and ive seen a lot!) Maybe the best unrestored 343 even...Don't know...
before the summer I want to have 3 cars sold(Im planning on going to Australia after the summer), and im too attached to my other MK1 (wich is in terrible status, compared to this). Really hard to do this

Damn. If you can hold on to it for a couple months, I could even imagine fetching it to Finland in the end of February (at the earliest, though...) -- and then give it all the TLC it needs!
