After last weeks ice storm, this week we were treated to a "Nor' easter".

Thule Snow chains.

The chains worked great. The only downside is the vibration and noise they generate and the fact you can't exceed 40 mph with them on. I didn't exceed 35 with them on. I also didn't ride on any cleared pavement, all snow covered.

Traveling down the road.

The car is still stalling when at idle. Too damn cold to fiddle with it. -5F tonight with 20F's during the day. Brrrr.

-5 F thats about -20c. Thats not cold, you can still you your baseballcap at -20 c  I can say that -30c or lower is cold. Especially if you are driving a moped to school. That was bloody freezing.

Those pics are fantastic! Many thanks for posting them up :-)

How's your starting at those kind of temperatures? The B14 340s I've had have always been much poorer starters than the B200 360s ...

In current rotation of weather, it seems UK is getting much colder place than what we are having here ;)

I think it was mid 1800 when they used to skate on ice of Thames river at London, that was 200 years after small ice age, can't see why that would not happen again in some timespan.

Our weather has seen Karate Kid too many times, snow on, snow off, snow on....

Got again more snow as old one was almost melted off, if it would stay on here would be more than 1 meter of it now, instead now here is around 50cm, if I pick any direction and drive 20km there is only around 20cm of snow that is only from last night.

I guess that 10-15 years and we get more than enough of cold weather and snow.

I don't think that here has been more than -10C, even now that is -3C, should be -12C tomorrow evening and back to near 0 at Saturday again, so there is constantly up and down movement in temperature instead of those longer perioids of cold or warmer weather.

We get constantly new low pressure flows from above of gulf-stream and that is source our 'non typical' weather at the moment, they should send those to south for a change, so you in UK would not need to freeze
