Haha. Its alright i had £50 worth of 0 guage wire turn up on my doorstep. in a royal mail bag. with a note saying damaged in transit. No payment after my complaint because i didnt have a postage reciept. so no compensation and the reason my item was damaged, the post van went up in flames! it was in the local paper!

Having trouble fitting them though.
Ideally want them under the bumper but the clips dont want to fit.

is this the look you want under the bumper

if so , I am sure I drilled a hole in the bumper iron and bolted through that

much easier if you take the bumper off first

the company i work for send out parts through royalmail every day and this time of year is the worst for non deliverys
what happens most of the time is that the barcodes get damaged or dirty so it ends up in the completely wrong town or city and they usaully turn up before the 3 week dead line.
as for not bothering to claim for the sake of £20 we made 130 claims yesterday first day back from xmas break and the biggest one was £3.50 value what they do is refund you the value of the item plus posatage and then 9 put pf 10 times a compensation of 75% of the total

cant remember if the original bolt that goes through the bracket reached though ,
however it would be quite easy to use a longer bolt ,
just put a nut either side of the lamp bracket and then a nut either side of the bumper iron to keep everything tight if that makes sense

Update.

Day off work Thursday, phone rings at 07.12 a.m.
Jesus, thinks I, either someones dead or been arrested.

'hello its Barry at Royal Mail, we've found your parcels for you. Someone had but them in the wrong section.'

Couldve kissed him.

But I didnt.

I stumbled went down bleary eyed, picked them up and shook the mans hand.
I love it when someone restores my faith in humanity.
So Im now the proud and exited owner of a hella grille and mountney wheel.
Cheers Cark and Dave, yous did a stirling job with the wrapping and packing. Felt like xmas all over again. :D

I suppose i'll have to take all my rant back now. Royal Mail are indeed only partially incompitent. And they managed to make my week.

You were right man. Good call.

the bay is full of mountey 13s of vaying prices and quality, but bosses seem vary scarce indeed.
Sure a previous thread said 205 bosses fit, but lose indicator self-cancelation last time I asked around.
So if nobodys got anything on V3M, keep your eyes peeled man for one in other realms mate.

I got fed up with the Royal Fail leaving "we tried to deliver but you were out" cards.

I paid £60 for a PO Box. This means that stuff is kept at my local sorting office for me to collect. You only need to check the box when you're expecting something (or once a month if you're not expecting anything) and it means they do actually get to know you.

This meant I got to sort of queue jump during the run up to Christmas:

Sorting Office bod to person at front of queue: "Do you mind if I just pass this item to the guy behind you - it might take me 5 minutes to find your item and his is just here to hand in his PO Box..."

I think for £5 a month it's well worth it if you regularly expect large items - although they will only accept things sent by Royal Mail - not couriers or Porcel Farce.

Ha!!!! Now I understand better what happened to a certain package sent from Belgium to UK, with green books... The package could still be tracked in Belgium and then mistery in UK! And the best is that it never came back to Belgium... Very bad joke that costed a lot! I've tried the full secure shipment now, 2 times the normal price sm2
