Do Wimpy still have those awesome milkshake kinda things that I can't remember the name of? Something like a "squishy" but only ripped off, not copied from the Simpsons ;)

As there is no day at winter, there is no night at summer, when you go to norhern Finland

Oh an here is those trees, it is bit of a problem really, if you like to see long distance, you need to find some tall hill or some tower as no matter where you are, those trees limit distance you can see, it is very abnormal to us if we can't see trees, can't remember such place right now as even in cities there are trees :| So I guess tree huggers would go insane in here, there is no way they can hug every tree

Probably not, people also have brilliant new inventions in their houses, curtains and screen doors :D

I think that winter is more exciting as you really can't tell time without a clock, there is bit less dark at mid day, but it is very subtle effect at darkest time of year, summer there is sun that is quite low on sky, but it is relatively bright everywhere at night during summer time, I think?

Damn post office workers, they still haven't reply to my questions about how I collect my packages when post office is not open when I'm close to it, maybe they have forget to buy curtains and are loosing their mind already because of that

jtbo wrote:If you completely loose your mind and decide to visit in Finland some day, try Hesburger, it has best beef from cheapo places. But if you would like to get bit different from standard burger, try Hotel Kajanus restaurant at Kajaani, that beef is just something words can't describe, I really can't imagine how beef could be made any better than that, it almost melts in mouth
Hesburger? Bleah. I'll never forgive them for buying out (and then killing off) the competing Carrols chain. I'm more of a McD guy myself. Though last summer when I was in London, I was quite disappointed with the "quality" of the local McD. Fries (chips?) tasted like fried cardboard, burger menu didn't have as many varieties, etc. So please understand, it's not that bad in Finland. Here though I also like to go to Scanburger when I can find one - they seem to be few and far between. But kebab is probably the all-time favourite.

Oh and one really good burger place, Classic Diner in Tampere - Big Tower with 1000g of beef (three patties with bacon and cheese) That should postpone hunger for a slightly longer while than usual.
jtbo wrote:So who needed those snow caps?
One thing i always wondered about those snow caps - is the opening supposed to be towards the front of the car, or the rear? If front, then isn't it a bit counterproductive?

Mind you, I drove only 50kph in 2nd video and 75kph in first one, gearbox oil was so thick that I was afraid to go any faster, also engine did sound quite rough and that was only -16 or so.

At the moment there is -26C, just came outside as I tried to record some sound to you, but my equipment do lack of features, sounds are rather weird at these temps, all kind of burbs inside of ground and nearby lakes, trees make bang kind of noises, like you would hit tree with piece of wood.

Got only one weak sound, you need to increase volume quite a bit to really hear it:
http://jtbo.pp.fi/tiedostot/sounds.wav

Closest lake/pond is over 3km away, but there is swamp nearby and sound came from that direction.

I don't care what Hesburger has done, but Donald's can't really even compare in burger taste
Scanburger beef is horrible, can't eat it :?
