Re: petrol diesel exhaust
I believe that there was not much as V360Cup they did use backbox from diesel model, of course my memory can sometime play tricks with me, but that is what I remember reading someday.
Front part that connects to manifold can be different, I'm pretty sure at least rest are much like same.

Re: petrol diesel exhaust
i was meaning in general, the volvo has a new one on and it best not need doing soon it wasnt cheap!!
the landrover however has a straight through and is unbearable over 45. i have a chance to get a proper one but its for a petrol. all the fittings are teh same and it will fit. i was just wondering if the silencers were made of different stuff, or whatever
if that makes sense!

Re: petrol diesel exhaust
It could be tuned to silence different frequenzies, but not necessarily as you know how these days stuff are done cheapo way, so it is probably quite same.
Diesel makes quite strong blow to exhaust when exhaust valve is opened and that makes strong sound even at idle as there is no throttle butterfly so often diesel exhaust has more sound killing than petrol exhaust, but that aside there is not much of anything different.
It will be quieter that it is now for sure, so if you can get it low cost, I don't see any reason why not to get one
