Re: New wheels?
SRSLY, a local lad on RR had a 1500 which was slammed (I mean SLAMMED, 20mm clearance on the front wishbone), was a seriously rugged piece of kit, and RWD. Sort of like a tiny V240.

Re: New wheels?
There was one on the bay in manchester a while back, white, with a chrome roofrack, slammed with wide rims that looked absolutley killer.
Was a lada per-say but i think it was so early, it was before they were actually known as ladas.
Seem a few more modern slammed riva estates as well. look good, but have you ever tried steering one?
Put five people in and a boot full of cider and you might as well be tring to park the moon at T in the park.

Re: New wheels?
There's definite potential, and if they can cope with Siberia I reckon they can cope with Lapland. So it's decided Jani, start looking for a riva.

Re: New wheels?
Got one 'new' toy today (MOT for 12/09), have to think a bit if I do get even one more, this one is perhaps not so useful for long trips, would beed to plan trip carefully with map of gas stationsvolvosneverdie wrote:So have you got something then jtbo?

That need new batteries at least, maybe also alternator needs to take apart, but it did not cost almost anything

Re: New wheels?
Well give us a clue then!
is it a V8?
hmmmmmm. a v8 in a country made from snow and trees.
I predict high levels of concentration.

Just go bit too fast, it will turn, throw rear end with throttlevolvosneverdie wrote:Well give us a clue then!

Well yes, I found out that turn at uphill is very different from turn that is at downhill, it does not help that throttle is rather sensitive
It is GM 305 that previous owner (speedway motorbike racer) had replaced at least exhaust pipes, don't know if there is something else done, it is just too damn slippery to test acceleration(what acceleration? may some ask).
