the snow in the hills over buxton and derbyshire was very nice there was 2 foot deep snow drifts along the cat and fiddle which was closed but the volvo and me made it to the top and back and i even passed 2 4x4's stuck in the snow lol i just went slidin by with my just about legal tyres on which i think took the piss as most of the people out up there last night had 4x4's or cars with good tyres and i was in the volvo with near slick 15's and went sliding on by as people were stuck it was a fun night and it didn't end till gone past 3am today its common knowledge around here that when it snows you have to try and get up the cat and fiddle i'll post a couple of small videos in a sec of the journey

Got quite a shock coming home from Brum on Sunday, at junction 8 of the M25 in Surrey the snow suddenly descended and it was interesting driving up the hilly roads around Caterham/Sanderstead way. My technique of revving like b-ggery in 2nd uphill seemed to work, albeit combined with a bit of opposite lock
Roads were quiet by this time though so I felt it was safe enough to do so. Saw several abandoned vehicles, and all FWD!

Hmm, how on eath it is possible to get stuck with 4x4 in place where 300 series still manages to go? They probably forgot that there is actually stick/button that says 4WD HI/LO which will help quite a bit at snow, Subaru owners have certainly had fun there
