i see that there is sheet ice under the snow from the rain earlyer today and people are driving semi-slick summer tyres :?

all the weather reports say sunny... and erm its night time.. i think there must be some real bad weather coming as they are not telling the truth.
Shouldn't that 2nd wave of snowy blizzard hit UK around today/tomorrow?

Check weather fronts from Norway, they get nicest gadgets. http://www.yr.no/satellitt/1.5941760 Need to be opened in IE for some odd reason.

I'm getting so bad twists in my stomach that I really can't sleep, hurts quite bad at times... Only around 5am here.

Try peppermint dude. That helps. Unless you have apendisitus. Then it wont help at all.
0540 here. Time to get up and go to work.

So that is why old people always have peppermint around

I have only ingrediments for heavy meat meal, so that must do it.

This product has metal edge, which removes ice very easily, no matter how strong ice is this will get it off, unlike some girlie products.
I don't like that metal edge, I found that it tends to scratch windows. Yes it works very well on ice, but if there's any dirt among the ice (and there's bound to be some, studded winter tyres really grind up the road surface...) some of the dirt will get in between the blade and the window glass, resulting in scratches.

True, but I use that only on crap french FWD when I need to move fast, other cars usually have clean windows however so I could use it for those, but I wont, only to that crap FWD as it is worthless to me

That said, I have managed to scratch window of 360 with plastic version of ice remover, there was perhaps bit of sand which caused nasty scratch to window, luckily it is not visible normally, just in certain conditions. It would perhaps not be noticeable, but my windscreen has only 15 000km on it, very clear screen that is :D

I'm betting they didn't. A mate at work is from quebec and reckons they all just get up early and clear the snow before work/school.

That is same here too, snow is not even excuse for being a late, except for our railroads, but any excuse is ok for them, wind, rain, snow, sun, they are more late than on time, so people will get small panic when they found out train is on time, they should announce that train is exceptionally on time...

If you are getting snow more and more in future winters, I'm afraid that you will get same boring treatment too, 30mins early to clean up snow and ice, then 30mins late back because of snow and ice, that is why people dislike winter here :(

That's for girls, -14C lowest in good ol' blighty at the weekend
-18°C in Aviemore last night. I just drove through, snow was 3 ft deep at the side of the road.

My sister is snowed in. Can't get up their drive so I had to go on a rescue mission to her place South of Loch Ness:

Single track road, all passing places choked with snow, but didn't matter because there was no one else out there. Driving on snow/ice all the way. Didn't dare slide it into corners too much since it was a good few miles walk in the dark to get help if I came off and no phone reception. I loved every minute of it.
Brrr............il fait froid.

Well said about the heater. My 740 has a crap one in comparison, takes a good 5 minutes to get properly hot, and even then it isn't as face-melting as a 340 one.

Me mates got a BRAND SPANKING NEW megane scenic. He got in the 340, in minus number degrees of temp, I put the heater on full and his face just fell agog.
'your heater heats the car up straight away! On mine, it takes about fiftee... actually will you turn it down a bit beacause its drying the fluid off my eyeballs please.'

was the way that conversation went.

Volvo VS Winter?

Volcanic heated wind blast thrower FTW!
