Sounds very familiar! When Nr. 1 was born I set off after not having slept for 36 hours (or was it 48?) to buy some baby clothes. Was in a bit of a daze and lost the back end going out of a junction and just caught it in time to avoid the oncoming traffic.

No sleep and your mind on something else - not a good combination!

glad mum and the wee man are safely home especially as the snows back



I wanted to move to Inverness last year ( pretty mad seeing as I have never been further north than the lake district )

found a lovely house near culloden moor ,

kinda got the idea the wife wasnt keen when she deleted the house advert from my favourites list :D




edit the house is still for sale , maybe I will try again with the wife

Yup - I was a little distracted at the time - funny we should have done almost the exact same thing!

I lived on a farm out by Culloden when I was a kid - lovely place - lots of neolithic stuff and some good rallies go through there too which I can still remember as a kid. I love it up here, I should have made this move years ago and cant recommend it enough. House like that is going to crucify you on council tax and energy bills though. I have a 5 bedroom double garage place and it costs the earth.

we are paying £1200 a year council tax on our house as it is ( five bedroom no garage )

we pay a grand on a one bed terrace rabbit-hutch.

Doesnt go up much for an extra four beds does it!?

That's less than I'd have thought. I pay £1k p.a. on a unit the size of most houses. No windows or bedrooms or garden, but space for 14 cars. :lol:
