Since my 360 is nearly finished i thought i would get some pics up,
Bought it off here about 2-3 months ago for £150 since then i have done a few bits:
Lowered 2" all round
Side Exit Exhaust
Welded diff
Pics:
Side exit might be going soon, it only appeared because when i dropped the car 2" on the back the damm exhaust caught on the back axel...
Oh and one of my RX7 track toy:

How would you get around not having a side exit if it catches on the axle? I have a side exit on mine, and it is slammed to the dust, so I don't think I could go back to another exhaust route.

The datsun too man. Loving it.

Cant get me head around them.

Datsun, Unfortunatly i have too many nissan 200sx's to ever want to be a nissan man again

, The mazda is insane to drive... outgrips a lot of the modifyed stuff i have had in the past evean in standerd form...
Not sure how i will get round the side exit tbh... thinking of going under the axel with some flattend pipe but not convinced... that or some felxi and wire it up to the bodywork...
Side exit with only the middle box on is supprisingly quiter than when it had the straight through pipe with the middle box on

less pipe = less noise?
Garth how low is yours? i dont think i would like to go much lower on the stock setup but if theirs a way i will try it

I think its 2'' on the back and maybe 3'' on the front. It has a divebomber exhaust thing on it and its a valve and my god its loud. I just want the exhaust out the back. The bloke who owned the car before me did it, and the end of the exhaust doesnt come out the side, it points at the rear wheel and it's the wrong side of the leaf spring. Its actually a wheel well exit exhaust.

Sounds like just what i tried to avoid with mine... i had a feeling that if i put the side exit any further back it would either hit the ground then the leaf or get crushed by the leaf...
When i next jack her up i might have another look and make some plans...

ive heard a lot of people have exhaust clearence trouble with just a 2in drop.
quite a few 340 owners on retro rides have gone side exit to get around the clearence, which baffles me tbh as mines down 2in all round and theres loads of room.
what are the variables at the back end?
surely it should be everyones clear, or everyones dont?

The last bloke put an alloy shape tank in the boot so he could put another big bore exhaust on. However he went side exit because of the fouling issue, and hasn't put the tank back under. I haven't tried to another route yet. Best bet is to make a back section I think. Is your a 5 speed or doesn't that matter?

4 and 5 speed are the same box. 5th gears just 'bolted' on. So there shouldnt really be that much difference.
I'll get underneath tomorow as best I can Garth and try and get a few pick of how everything stands.
See if thats any help.

yeah it was this one:
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... f=8&t=7309
Just fixed the window now... kind of the gearbox attached to the moter is on its last legs and i think its took one of the moters legs for support...
I think the standerd exhaust would fit if it was mounter about 3" further back as were mine was hitting wasnt at the top of the arc but it was easyer to side exit it that move it back that much.
