It has good things too, but you should know that it has not much same with 340 except Volvo badge and some interior switches
It is a ship, quite good one actually.
Rust is of course one, it has thicker sheet metal than 300 so it takes longer until there are holes, but also many of those are older, paint is also better so even rust is a problem it is problem of older cars than with 300, usually also you can't really say if it is rusty or not by looking from top, underneath is totally different.
In city you can have something less than 15MPG if booting hard and still no go at all, much better if cruising gently.
Brakes are lot like in tractor, same with clutch, also models without power steering are quite heavy to steer.
More space and more room in engine bay are plus side, you can fit large turbo there
