found this on the bay of fleas.. look at the options in there - fire extinguisher, all the gauges, lectric everything, and its only an '87! very strange.. only thing ic an see that it doesnt have is leather (dunno if aircon was an option)

I saw this yesterday too.. and am a little confused!

The interior I'd imagine is non-original, I'd put a bet on it that the alloys weren't on there originally either. It doesnt have electric rear windows, and I very much doubt it has an electric (original) sunroof. Although it does have a sunroof of some kind by the look on it. I think the only original parts are possibly guages and the fire extinguisher.

Confusing to say the least

Nice car though, only fault with a dent in the rear door and a small bump on the rear bumper!

As far as im aware the GLE was never fitted with GLT style interior.. only velour (which'd be the same/similar to snowey) and leather. The alloys are also more commonly seen on the special editioned cars like Red/Bluelines, SE's. Maybe they were... but it seems quite unlikely, especially if someones been changing interiors.. theyre likely to change other things too. But it is hard to say!

Yeah, someone added some toys, but a lot of the stuff in that listing is BS -I don't see rear electric windows, I can't clearly even see if there is a sunroof, and there's a pint riding on it being manual even if there is one, and Climate Control...yeah...?!

Incidentally, V*D#S says you could get AC for a B14 early on....curious!

Not too sure on the sunroof either, I think you can just about make it out in a couple of pictures.. but its sure to be manual

This one made me look! There cannot be anything that could be described as climate control! No aircon for sure! The sunroof....... doesn't look like it even has one, let along an electric one! The rear windows are manual, the winders can be seen! Interesting though, as Steve P says, the interior is an odd one too. Something different however!

Damm, i was gonna show this to foggy but you 300 boys have found it allready.

I'm still trying to prove to him that some 300's had an electric sunroof.

Allthough my mates old F plate 360GLT with Electric Roof, did look factory fit allthough it could easily have been an good Aftermarket addition.

I saw a tight dark blue G reg 1.7 gle outside lidls in MK on Tuesday totally immaculate and had the leather interior , no extra dials and no sunroof though but had leccy windows. could tell it was owned by an older gentleman by the neatly folded raincoat and trilby hat on the rear parcel shelf lol

I'm increasingly unsure that it was a factory option. For example Pettaw's GLEi SE has one, but the spec for that car doesn't even mention a sunroof - must have been a factory option, or an aftermarket addition. Of course, I believe that the cars in question have electric sunroofs - but I'm not convinced that they're original.

The major problem we have is that far too often this is borne out of poor information - for example BS ebay listings. We'll find out one day

My brother had an f plate 440 that had an electric tilt and slide sunroof that was specified as an option, from the dealers when new. we had to repair this at one point, and found that it was danish after market, not volvo made. I beleve that this was fitted at the factory, but as an aftermarket item rather than somthing done at the factory, it was bonded to the roof skin with some sort of glue and was very well fitted. Mabe 300's were done the same way??

I don't think that my sunroof is an aftermarket firment, the way it was wired up and fitted means I reckon it was some sort of factory option. I mean why on earth would you fit a sunroof when you have aircon? Its completely unnecessary?

Erm, that car doesn't look too special most stuff seems stock to me or easily obtainable, and I bet the alloys came off a 360.

I think its nice to have a sunroof as well as aircon, although.. a sunroof that worked would be a good start

The car looks pretty nice, but how original it is I don't know. Although I wouldn't underestimate the relative difficulty of obtaining them parts now!
