Hi Everyone just leaving a message to say hi as i am a new user, I am hoping to get a 340 in the next couple of weeks and was wanting to no some things to look out for,

Welcome to the forum dude.

Have a good look round for rust.

Sills, jacking points, arches, front vallance etc.

There'll be SOME I should have thought, so dont let a bit put you off.
But beware of LOTS!

Ok i will look out for the rust then , also what are they like for tuning and where can i get parts from,

depends what model you get tbh. Theres plenty of engine swap info all over this site. Thats the most effective way of upping the poworz.
16v Clio engine or a 480 turbo.
Have a good look round the threads and check out what other folk have done. I'm sure you'll get inspiration dude.

340.... yeah, 16v Clio lump or maybe 480 turbo. but you'd have to start thinking about drivetrain changes etc.

360... 2.3 lump from a 740/240, or the turbo version - but makes sure its from a scrapped old nail, otherwise i'll be after you!

Plenty of ways to get more powah, its just how you go about it thats the tricky bit!
