12" wheels

Post by OapEM » 28 Sep 2009 11:15 pm

Do these fit over 360 brakes? I think not, especially the mahoosive drums but will find out tomorrow evening if no-one here knows.

I can envisage a few scraping issues and the slight possibility of them looking lost lol. I don't mind them being small, as long as I don't have comedy arch gaps! 360pw

I'm pretty sure they wont fit over the brakes, rear especially... I hope not anyway, they're too small :P  It's not a bloody mini :)

Do they even MAKE 12" 4x100s?
Its a lot of effort to go wobble nuts for some nice mini twelves man.

Unless youve spied some 10j mini wellers on the pooBay that you intend just hammering on.

I'm sure thay would fit a 360 but the 360 rear drum will be tight.

I suppose you could use 5" wheels spacers

Well. They fit. As thought though they look a bit lost lol. The ones I tried tonight belong to a mate and are 12x5.
I never got to try them on the front (stupid chocolate wheel nuts!)

So after confirming they will work I won these tonight http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT These will do me until a set of 13"s come up I think. Can't be sniffed at for the price IMO!

Drum clearance is almost non existant lol. I'm hoping they will clear the calipers too, maybe with slight spacers. If they won't fit, my mate with the Mini will more than likely have them. The ones I won are 6J though so I reckon it will be alright. Nice bit of dish without being OTT also IMO.

I want the car down 3" at the front and was thinking leave it at 2" at the back, but who knows. If it doesn't scrape constantly and can still manage speed bumps without having comedy arch gaps I will be happy.

Pics

14"s up front lol

Comparison with 13" standard rim.

I am waiting until I have all four on to make a decision really, but I reckon it will look decent. Just not as good as it could. Sod the 13" scene tax at present though - and damn I need tyres! Tonights weather has made for some fun! 340pw

I must admit even those look better than your 14" ones dude. I'm surprised how impressed I am. They look smart. Bit of a dish would be better though. Wet weather - nice, been hoping for rain today but no such luck!

Castors :(

Get the car sitting right and most would assume they're 13" anyway
Marks have very little dish too. Dish makes a ML in my opinion. 8)

As you say dude, pics of all on the car then we can decide. lol Your 10J Weller comment has me wishing now. but not 12x10!

10" 5j wellers man.
Go the whole hog.

Just take all your brakes off first.

12in wellers with a good dish shouldnt look bad.
Ten a penny in Mini 1.123654789544 classic pcd.
Theyd probably force on ok with persuasion.

I only need the handbrake

The Mini fitment ML's went on no sweat too. All of my nuts seated fine also, they were just a touch off centre but I'm not sure if it was enough to need wobble nuts. Epsecially if the CB is the correct size.

Let's start a 12" craze and show those euro faggots how it's done lol

I'm not with the masses I'm afraid... it looks like a micro machine, it's a 300, not a mini!!! Maybe with some bigger profile tyre, but I don't get it.

Maybe I am getting a bit too old

I'm getting old too lol. I reckon it will look OK though. The 14" Speedlines i run have 205/60 baloons on them and are no good and yy 13" steels have bald tyres. So need something quick and easy - and cheap!

They are slightly out of place but I think I will get away with it. 340pw Plus if I get shot and my mate doesn't buy them I can sell them for more than I paid with a decent ad and some better pics. :D

Was trying to place what it reminded me of!
Micro machines!

But micro machines are cool.
I recon it looks alright.
Better with dish.
Bring on the propper four corner castor pics and be judged.
I recon it's the begining on a new and unfathomable trend.

The opposite of Donk.
Low car, tiny wheels.

I'm not going any smaller than 13". And that's that. Though that's with 80-profile tyres.
