I'm officially back. (small mixed update).
Areet?
I've not been very active on the forum for some time, though I've been having a quick look most days, so I figure it's time for an update about the fleet.
First and foremost, my valvo.
Here's how it looks now:
The reason for this is repeated drivetrain issues. it was largely fine with the two F7Ps I had in, but when I fitted the F7R hybrid (offers welcome, see the For Sale section soon) it started eating props LOL. So it's getting a redblock and torque tube now, supplied by my latest car:
Project FQ360
77K:
Custom half leather seats
Heater recirc (working):
I bought this charming 360 GLT a month or two ago, I couldn't say no given its excellent condition, correct door count, and the fact that I have a serious engine lined up for it. May as well spill the beans now, the FQ360 tag needs backup anyway.
Scroll down for engine porn:
Yup, a 940 B230 with a 740GLT head, forged pistons, 13mm rods, and an omex ECU ready to provide over 300hp when I decide which turbo to use. (the 15G in the pictures ended up on a BMW 525TDS).
So that's my current volvo situation, see you in the FQ360 thread when I get round to starting it.

Re: I'm officially back. (small mixed update).
Thanks everyone, it's good to be back.
I've had the engine tucked away for a good few months, I need a pulley and a cambelt though as I damaged both when I was transporting it. And I need a fancy turbo for not much cash. And some boost pipes. But then I can start fitting!
Sharp eyes Mr P, it belonged to our very own Bilbo, of Bilbo & Sven fame. I placed a dib years ago when the lads came over to buy a windscreen. When he got in touch and said the MOT was up and I could have it cheap, I couldn't say no. We aren't exactly tripping over 3dr GLTs these days.SteveP wrote:Where'd you find the 360?

Yeah mate, it's spot on. Needs a front jacking point strengthening, and both wing bottoms are crusty but that hasn't spread to the valance much. Ooh, and it's got electric windows, on a 3dr, on a D plate.

Now that's a beautiful lump of redblock goodness!filthyjohn wrote:

Megasquirt? Drivetrain?
Can't wait to see a proper redblock tune on here.
Re: I'm officially back. (small mixed update).
No need for the megasquirt, the Omex computer does the same job. It's just a commercially produced version!
