First of all, great pics!

Would it still be easier to buy a cheap (20 eur) compressor? On the other hand if you make it yourself, at least you can customize it for whatever engine you're working on.

airgap was waay to big. now with 2mm of adjustments plates the airgap is perfect and driving is way better. also noticed that the gearleverplay is in the primary gearbox, too bad. that means i'll have to keep selecting P first before going to R..
I may have to adjust my clutch real soon now (when the frost goes away). Do you have a source for the adjustment plates? Or can you scan the outline of one, as I have good contacts to a company that does lasercutting...

Also selecting P first is already like second nature to me... I don't even think that it's a hassle anymore.

well i spend a few minutes on google and all i could find were these with a pricerange of at least 90 euro's, but now i looked again and noticed another one of 36 euro's, that's more like it :D

as for the adjustment plates, i filled the board below up myself sm4 sm4 so yeah, i adjusted a few
P1000808 (Medium).JPG
P1000808 (Medium).JPG (63.26 KiB) Viewed 7597 times
and i have about 18 plates lying loose wich require measurement before going onto that board, including 2 sets of 2.1 i believe. it's now become the v3c stock so at technical days and such we can instantly provide the correct plates and i confiscate the old ones

most of the time removing one set of plates is enough to get the airgap correct, i haven't got a scanner but maybe i can sort something out in the following week. and if possible, i would like to get a load of plates made!

Nice pic of the adjustment plates, Anjo :-) AFAIK, the thinner plates are the harder ones to come by these days.

nomead: Danny from dafhobby.nl is sure to have some plates for you!

I'd need to measure the current gap first... But the point was to "future-proof" even this small part. I'm not sure I can match the exact thickness range of factory-made adjustment plates, but a few different like 0.7 1.0 1.5 2.0 should be easy.

yeah it is a reliable source for the stock replacement parts

i've also made another big decision this morning; the 343 will get a 4cm drop. blocks on the rear; and the koni's on a medium setting. on the front new Sachs shocks with intraxx lowering springs, this should make the looks way better but keep it a really comfy cruiser :D

I did nog feel much difference in gasoline with the cone filter, but on LPG the performance is now as good as it was on gasoline. The LPG feed had to be adjusted way up to be correct again. There is more air going in to the engine wich needs more LPG.
The hose in the front of the engine is the Puls Air system wich feeds some of the intake air straight in to the exhaust, right at the ports. This functiones as some kind of afterburner, but without the power boost. It's just an environmental addition, whitch i blocked off... :D
I believe the sealed off hose is from the carter ventilation system, which had to be blocked for the LPG system. (it keeps the inside of the throttle body quite clean as a bonus) I don't know where the hose ends now, I'll go check in a minute...
