R.I.P Henri Toivonen, a true rally legend.

But like when Henri drove a Talbot Lotus Sunbeam, it doesn't matter what you are driving if you know your stuff.. let it be even an Opel, it can be the absolute vehicle if there's a proper man behind the wheel.. 8) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwvIRuCLbyg

I especially like the "Oh dear god"-note the co-driver reads @ 1:39.. I think that Max Mosley should've been sat next to Vatanen in a drive like that and Vatanen should ask Mosley when he can free his hands from the wheel as in Mosley's opinion Vatanen didn't even drive his own rally car as he had a co-driver.. sm1 I hate jackasses who don't know a damn thing about the actual racing at the limit..

Outside the rally stuff.. I'd have to say CAN-AM Porsche 917

With 1100/1580 horsepower (820/1161 kW in race/qualifying spec) on tap from a 5.4 liter flat-12 and only weighing in at 1800 lb (816 kg) with better downforce this car won every race in the 1973 championship. Mark Donohue drove this car to a closed course world speed record of 221 mph (356 km/h) at the Talladega Superspeedway (then called the Alabama International Motor Speedway). It was capable of over 250 mph (402 km/h) on the straights.

Considering the ERA only thing I've got to say is "Screw you Veyron.."

Aaaannd of course I couldn't make a post like this without any 300-series included so the last car will be the amazing 363CS 8)

Ah man!
Cant believe you had to sell it. :(

At some point, id like a Firenza, Magnum, 2.3SL or Plain old Viva.
Prices are a bit manacing at the minute though.

Just to interrupt...

Ben, the Leyland Force 7 was cancelled cos British Leyland ran out of money in Australia ( and pretty much everywhere else ) Their poor reputation regarding Land-Rover reliability didn't do them any favours either, and at the end of the day, it appeared that the Colonists preferred to buy Australian (Holden) Yankee muscle cars ( Ford Falcon ) or Jap.... Still do come to think of it!
