I did run out of scale from my gauge
Well, it lacks bit of calibration on that end, but still it got even colder after that when I was on road, colder than -25C.
French crap did manage to perform somewhat ok, engine did sound odd, windows kept frozing and I was freezing as car did not produce enough heat to get above 0 inside.
Bloody good thing I had garage empty to put that french crap there as it would not been too much of fun to try to survive in full coldness.

I did forgot to check ip of my home system so can't access data when I'm on road, but that readings were when weather station did promise -17C, now for this night they did promise -22C which would translate to -30C if error is same as before.
Heating expenses are going to be very high as weather station did predict similar weather for whole week, how I wish that this week would of been vacation week so I could use wood for heating, that is over 5 times cheaper than with electricity.
-30C and bit of wind would be situation where I would like to sit right next to fireplace and not even think about going outside

That reminds me, leather seats and no seat heating are no fun at all in this weather

Need to see about that sometime soon ...
Last winters' record was -15 around here ...

About -20C here and I'm at the southern Finland.
I just put on the engine block and interior heaters on the 360. It would start fine without the heater though but no reason to torture the engine...

Do you have a kind of petrol pre-heater for your car, Fuse?
-6° this morning, and cloth "tweed" seats. Also non-heated, but more pleasant in this weather

Hi!
Jtbo do you have any daylight up there? I guess you have 2 hours of light about the midday?
Some kind of the northern lights in the night?

I'm not that up north, N62 latitude here
Sunrise is about 9:51, sunset 14:48 and day length is 4 h 57 min, plenty of sunlight, if it ever hits the ground as this is very cloudy area, mostly cloudy, but right when it is not cloudy temperature goes down.
Today it was
-27.6C (is that something like -17.7F ?) 24h average temp is now -24.4C
My french crap FWD transportation did not produce enough heat today, my feet hurts as they got so cold...
BTW it did start perfectly well from that temp, no any preheating, first turn from key and it started, diesel power
Little pic:

Yes, I found "you" on google maps. But what about northern lights in that latitude? Are there any kind of auroras?

Wow
Here we have about -10 C - that is very cold. -25 C I remember once in my life in 1998 I guess.
Keep worm!

This is taken 20.8.2009 from my yard, it did go away before I could grab my better camera to it, but it is possible however rather rare that I can see northern lights here.
KP 3 or higher is needed to get northern lights visible in here. Currently KP is 0, but 22nd there is chance again if it is not cloudy as then solar stream from coronal hole of sun will reach earth. There has been great opportunities recently, but it has always been cloudy or I have had to work, 22nd I hope will be clear skies as then starts my holidays.

So this is what I did read from the paper:
More snow was forecast over southern Scotland and the Northern and Western Isles today, with up to 2in (5cm) of snow falling in heavy showers, and up to three times that on the hills
The snow is expected to continue until tomorrow, with temperatures plummeting to -5C in Edinburgh tomorrow night and -10C in Inverness and -11C in Aviemore on Christmas Eve.

Stay warm there and remember to clean and lubricate your locks

Cold is just not ending, still -22C here.
Also there has been slight addition to snow layer during holidays, around a foot or so.
By end of the week they forecasted -23C lasting over weekend.

No I don't have Webasto-style petrol pre-heater, just the normal electrical engine block and interior heaters.

Temps are around -20C again.

Temps have been really low in here, near -20C in following days of December.
13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29.
In January.
1, 2
In last 24 hours maximum temperature have been -17C, in this year -15.7C is 'hottest' measured temperature.
Currently temperature is -26C and falling quite some speed, that start to be quite near for -30C if this keeps up
As I took grab and saved it, temperature did drop already to -26.3C and it did not take long to save that grab

It's beginning to be a proper winter again at this year.

Last time it was this cold at 2007. Coldest temp I measured then was -37C, I remember that very well because that was during army camp..
