I know someone who's selling a low mileage engine out of a S80. It's the T6 twin turbo 6 cylinder 24valve one.
I'm guessing that the engineering to fit and make use of this in a 300 would be very

, but anyone know anything about these engines and if it's at all possible. Is this the highly tuned engine in the KRB race car of VND avatar fame?

Well its a T5 engine with an added cylinder, and the T5 has about 70mm of clearence from crank pulley to the rad so it should just fit, but would be an awesome amount of work, plus i dont think having an engine all the way to the rad would do much for the handling.
But is still possible.

Just wondered, not seriously considering taking on such a project as I don't have any experience of such things. He didn't seam to want that much for the engine, it's a left over from an write off car bought for other parts.

KRB used an Audi 5 pot, they are known as Quattro tuners normally.
I've lose the pics of the Jag V12 engine in a 300, that was amusingly awesome!

I think that engine would be better suited to a manual facelift 960... replace the two tiny turbos (11c??) with a larger item and make an easy 300+bhp

Chipped T-6 will make 300+ hp. Bigger single turpo + injectors and chip tuning will make easy 400+ hp.

I have seen photos of such:

I have not seen anyone to complete such project yet, don't know how that one above is today, Fuse might know.

Thats right, I remember reading that somewhere now, I couldn't find their website last night.
It would certainly be a squeeze to fit 6 cylinders in, probably makes more sense to get maximum power from a smaller (and lighter) engine. Would be interesting to see if that project jtbo found got finished.

that would be an epic feat of engineering

, but on that project im not sure i like the v40 front end or whatever it was
