Hi all.
Just purchased (in March 2010) James's (V3M username: turnbullj) 1988

1.4 manual with 61k on the clock with all the mods!
It needed a new propshaft and I just got it all fixed and sorted today for £60
I'm a noob and will be asking a LOT of questions!
V3M here I come

Hi mate and welcome.
Lovely car you got there. There are plenty of nutters about here who can
solve any problems that you might have with the car.
Cheers Mark.

Yep. Got it for a grand.
Im having some issues with the k&n filter. Car getting too much cold air. Its fine in town driving, not ideal for motorways. Got the heat transfer pipe thing from the manifold pointing towards it atm. Will update how it does. Do V3M guys car meet up??

You are correct sir : )
Had a nice long drive today. Opened the bonnet at the end of the journey (which went smoothly) and found the 'secure' k&n filter resting on the manifold
The 'secure' filter also managed to yank out a butterfly valve
Volvo 340. Good times

Don't know if my earlier comment made any sense. I'm actually going on about the choke valve not butterfly......well thats what my Haynes manual says. Should there be one or two choke valves in the carb?
I apologise in advance if my question sounds like a right load of nonsense!

Got the suspension set at the softest setting. Its suits the rubbish roads round where I live.
