I know it's non-volvo but I thought a few pwople might enjoy a look at my latest purchase, a 1975 Opel Manta A. Originally a 1900SR, it now packs a C20XE from a cavalier GSi, with Yamaha R1 carbs and megajolt mappable ignition.
It has a few rough spots, and some nasty paint reactions on the roof where it had a cheap respray a while back, but it'll do for now.
Pics or it didn't happen!
To do:
Headlights and surround,
rear lights,
seatbelts,
spark plugs,
fit back window,
weld up one small rust hole.
Wish me luck won't you?

Hopefully not! It's just a new camaro with different headlights looking at that pic lol, hopefully they'll be a little more original than that, not holding my breath mind

either way it'll still never look as good as it's retro brothers!

I was shown this by a mate in Germany whilst discussing Mantas. It's a clip from a german film, 'Manta Manta':
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yznp_vWoKGQ
It's not really dialogue driven, so it's not a problem that it's in German. A rough translation:
The girl says 'I'm too hot'
At the end, the pursuer asks 'hey, have you guys seen a blue manta'
'No, I've not seen a blue manta'
There's also some volvo 340 action at about 2min20.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yznp_vWoKGQ
Enjoy!

I watched the whole film whilst drunk.

Looks like I underestimated the amount of rot by some margin. I got the screwdriver and went digging for peace of mind, but all I found was orangey-brown misery!
Check these holes out!

Chop it out!
