Ok, Ive got a taxless Fiesta with no V5 sat in the yard (waiting for DVLA to get round to issuing a new one. Been a fortnight and theyre advising it might take another month.)
And A GLT in johns unit awaiting engine, hatch, some welds and putting back together.

Neither are going to be on the road for about another month, so I need some good reasons from you gentlemen not to borrow money to buy this 340 as a stopgap.
Its just up the road and looks quite nice, so I need GOOD reasons gentlemen.

I cant afford it, but might be able to borrow money from somewhere till I can tax and sell the fiesta.

Looks nice, bit of rust on the front valance but no surprise there... £475 isn't that cheap though... offer £400!

Be worth the initial pain... you'll shift that Fiesta on for a fair profit I'm sure anyway

Aye, theres money in that fiesta once its taxed and valleted. Lovely little car. But me and our lass BARELY fit in it.

low(ish) mileage and very well equipped too! Hard to say why not to buy it. The sunroof might be a turn-off for some, but summers' coming so that's a bonus, really too ...

Yeah, if the sills and Rear JPs are solid, its going to be hard to walk away. If theyre rotted, it saves me the haggling and scratching.

Well if i do, it actually WILL be staying standard, bar a mountney wheel (so I can get my legs under).
At least its a 300 though.

Had a look round this today.

Previous repair on both front sills, covered in waxoil or similar, then it looks like hes jacked on the front JPs and theyve both collapsed. Snap snap, crunch crunch. Nasty mangled rust/metal/air combinations. Looked bad to me and im no real expert. Sills also bubbling along the sides?? Either a bad repair with poor paint or surface rot painted over?

Anyway, he said he'd take £350

Pass.

Back to public transport a while.

That'll be the sills rusting from the inside out... usually do this at the base of the B pillar. Shame... goes to show don't trust pictures when you buy 300's!
