On a two-wheeled break at the minute. Last one I had was a '90 Honda CD250U as a commuter hack.

Here's some of my past ones that I've owned or rode:

Don't have these particular ones any more, but do still have a few F-framed Moultons:

Way way back I owned a nice dirt jumper that I built from a humble kids bike:

Just sold this. Still looked great after 4 years of commuting. Stopped using it so was time to sell :(

Yeah, I have a Renault, it has too short gears, I'm jumping up and down at top gear even on slight uphill, even it has good size 28" wheels. Have been using that for about an month now instead of car, average of 5km per day, not too much (not even daily, every 2nd/3rd day mostly), but I make that up using full speed when I ride

It is very normal bicycle, there is nothing extraordinary in it, except 12v h3 foglamp mount that I put to it so that at dark autumn it is better to drive in dark while small 12v battery is located to bag that is rear of bike, forget those silly led lamps, with good fog lamp it is easy to see all branches in smaller trails too.

I have no pic from it now and it is too dark to take one, but this is quite close what mine is, however I have not such good chain cover thing and also I have replaced cheap chinese pedals with another cheap chinese pedals, which I would like to someday upgrade to good pedals made from metal, plastic ones seem to fail during uphill climbs.

I worked for Malvern Star - Aussie bicycle maker - when I got over here for the first couple of weeks, so I ended up buying a Malvern Star Octane for myself and a Malvern Star Tempest for the missus, at a trade prices - both fairly good bikes in their own right, but the Octane isn't a patch on the last bike I had in the UK. That was a Peugeot Mountain bike I bought brand new when I was 17. Lasted me the best part of 18 years :)
When I emigrated, I gave it to one of my mates, and it's still going! It had a couple of new cranks in it's time plus about 4 sets of pedals and god knows how many chains, tyres, brakes and inner tubes but it was pretty much indestructable.... it'll be interesting to see if this Malvern Star lasts as long!

They just don't make em like they used to etc..........

My first motor cycle, actually a scooter, was a Heinkel Toerist with a 1 cylinder 175 cc 4 stroke engine, with an electric starter.
I don't know what year exactly but somewhere in the early 60's

Image

My second one was a 1979 JAWA with a 350 cc twin 2 stroke engine. I bought it brand new.

Image

My last one a 1977 Honda CB 400 F with a 400 cc 4 cylinder 4 stroke engine, six speed and a 4 in 1 exhaust.

Image

I don't have a bike now, the Honda had been standing unused in the garage for about 4 years so I sold it. This was about 6 years ago

I think that Honda CB and those that look alike are what defines looks of motorbike, I kind of would like to get old CB some day, but our license system is real killer, license costs more than such bike

ty360volvo, that is quite hair in one of your photos :D
