I'm after a rev counter, I haven't seen any 340 rev counters on ebay.
Anyone got one

?
And advice on what needs doing to fit one, ie if it's just a simple case of removing the clock and it fits straight in + wiring?
Cheers
Simon

I can get you one if you would like. I know of quite a few. Where abouts ibn the uk are you? Yeh once the cluster is removed all you have to do is unscrew all the screws around the edge, this will let the black part of the cluster be removed. once off the clock can be unbolted and disconnected and then its just a case of reversal to fit the rev counter. All the other wires ie flywheel sensor are already in place. Just plug and play!!!
Cheers Adam

old. 21 years old tbh. its got a different reenix to modern cars, which may be why hte wiring isnt in place. i will investigate further soon.

I don't know alot, I'm the first to admit, but one of the three sockets on the renix is for the tachometer/rev counter, and the one the other side goes to a sensor in the head which senses pre-ignition? So I am lead to believe from a photo I saw today of one on the net!
I doubt/guessing (?) the renix's differ much in models apart from the internals of the unit? I'm guessing on my car the circuit for sensing pre-ignition isnt wired up? - and so ive got the wires for the tachometer wired up (as 1 of the 3 sockets on my renix arent connected)
All i say is complete speculation!
...if the renix units are similar, would just involve wiring the rev counter up to your renix... (I guess)
...waits for Adam to get back from his local scrapyard with a price for a rev counter for me...
