Re: manual conversion parts
I should have everything you need to do that. There is a fair bit of work involved.
What is up with the vario system on yours?

Re: manual conversion parts
Never been happy that revs don't seem to fall enough when reaching cruising speed. RPM reading higher at any given speed compard to those listed in guides here. Perhaps more so since collecting car after last mot .At the time there was a slight but unmistakable whiff of burnt clutch inside the car and under the bonnet. Some unknowing mechanic revving in park methinks. Just don't know where to begin putting it right , manual conversion might make it more usable for me. May abandon the idea and persevere with the auto set up yet but just putting the feelers out in case I go ahead and convert.

Re: manual conversion parts
There is a lot involved in doing the swap. It does sound like the clutch is out of adjustment. It might be worth going through the auto system first as it should be possible to fix.
I'm no vario expert but I am getting to know my way around them. I would be more than happy to have a look at it for you and if it looks too bad could send you home with manual conversion parts

Kick in the nuts 'd be getting off lightly , but anyhow garage denied it denied it actually said smell had come from another car! I clearly must look stoopid.
might try checking and adjusting if needed , so where can I get the shims from?

Re: manual conversion parts
You might not need any as it depends how much gap you need to lose and whether you can do so by removing one or more of the shims already in the sets that you have there.
