Grille Badge

Post by wjp01908 » 10 May 2006 08:01 am

Some little s**t has pulled off one side of the diagonal volvo badge from my front grille breaking it in the process.

Anybody got a spare one - a trawl of local scrappies has failed to turn any 340s up.

Happy to pay a reasonable price plus postage.

Cheers

Will
You only need two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and
it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

mk scrappies crush 300's as soon as they come in even though I have left a card asking them to contact me if one comes in.

Figured as much Mick

Last time I needed to use a scrappy, I got what I needed from one in Old Stratford who had a few. This was however a couple of years back and last time I popped in for a look, I found it had closed down.

You and Pete still fancy a bit of an MK mini meet - be good to catch up!

Hi Will, meant to email you back, good to see you back on the forum. I'm afraid I've been more than busy lately, but when things quieten down a bit, I'd be up for the mini meet one day.

Might do the job! Not 100% sure if the Volvo badge is actually on it in the centre or not!?

Good stuff Will. Hope it fits, can't see why not, I think a 400 Volvo slash may be close too studying the parents 460 one today! Another 400 part we might be able to nick! Just annoying you have to pay to replace something some mindless little sm36 has done to your property.

It's so annoying the mindless acts of vandalism that we have to suffer, Dave's car had the mirrors kicked off, Chris had the window smashed and stereo nicked, DJBolf had a window smashed, yours has the badge nicked, and previously you were the victim of someone with a key scrathcing down the side of the car, Ronnie had someone reverse into his car and drove off, Carl has had a similar incident. In such a subtle car as the 300 you'd think they'd not bother, or is it purely for that reason, as they think it won't matter, it's old? Or are we just seeing the state of society today?.........rant over.........

Pete you can add me to that list, some idiot stubbed out a cigarette on the boot of our 340  Luckily it washed off, although the car looked odd for a while as I put on some wax in that area, but not the rest of the car

Pete, someone reversed into my Manta, not the 360. TBH I would have preferred it if they hit the 360 as I'm sure that will be earning itself some battle scars anyway! Personally if I hit a car, any car, I'd at least leave a notw with my number if I couldnt find the owner.

Doubly annoying about the scratch though coz I'm thinking about selling it at the mo, so it's not a good look!!
