coolant hoses

Post by kaos » 23 Dec 2008 10:38 pm

Very soon I could be needing the following:

B14.4e
B172

Engine coolant pipe work- Heater etc anything to do with the cooling system pipework.

Not to bother about the condition of the pipes aslong as theyve been removed correctly, arnt badly perrished. basically as long as they hold water i would be intrested.

This may lead on to benefit the club as a whole if everything goes well.

If Chris doesn't want them as I got them for him, but I think he solved his problems using other pipes, I have as much as possible from a 1.7.

The F7P heater/coolant hose routing is most vexing. Why have 4 hoses when 37 will do?

I *think* I'm still in need for these Pete, can you keep hold of them please buddy!

You looking at getting silicons made up Kaos? Theres a few companies that will do it, but getting the mandrels made up isn't cheap, Samco charge ~£70 for a top and bottom hose off the shelf. Would be a useful thing though, I guess that price isn't too different to what Volvo would have charged!

I am indeed, The 1.7 kits i could see as being popular enough, as a lot of the pipework is used for the conversions.

They'd be branded in my name that i use for my car works and im aiming for 100% ownership. if its too much it'll go 50/50 and said company im looking to get them done at will be able to flog them on.

plain bog standard black, to hopefully keep costs at an all time low.

i'll be getting some made up for myself anyway so i can get shot of the cheap vaccum hose i'm using on my 16v etc.

hopefully it shouldnt be too much for a full set, might even look at selling the bits individually or just doing the main hoses like top n bottom rad hose.
