Post by -x-salmon-x- » 03 Apr 2009 11:23 am

has anyone got a spare manifold and possibly the customised downpipe to fit the f7r/p conversion?

the down pipe is 3" diameter, your gonna have some major flow rate problems! espesially if you leave it at the 1" odd it is stock! go aftr market.

what the down pipe for conversion i have an aftermarket straight through but it is only just under a 2" system. but i just need a downpipe of sorts to modify from the manifold onto the straight through or will i have to make the exhaust pipe bigger also be it 2.5" or 3"?

The end of the williams DP is 2.25", but yeah 3" at the top where it meets the manifold. I only needed 2 cuts with the angle grinder and 2 welds to make mine fit. Then I bunged it into a "2 system as I had loads of pipe in that size already. I may have some pics of the mods, I'll have a look.

I used the stock williams downpipe, needed shortening by about 3" near the top where it joins the manifold. Then I cut it just after the lambda sensor boss and rotated it about 180 degrees. Can't find any pictures though sorry.
I'd like around £40 for the manifold, that's what it cost me. I'll PM you some fresh pictures tomorrow if you like.

yea that sounds fine. i'll need to sort some money as my bank has fucked me around but should have some mid next week. and yea some pics would be ideal. how will you get it to me do u need me to cover postage too or....? then i'll just source a downpipe for it or just get a friend to make me one.

and is this the correct downpipe for the manifold http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/searc ... &se_yr_id= if so i can try and mod it like you have done.

thats the wrong down pipe, thats for the RSI which is the 8v 1.8!

ive got a 3" manifold end to 2.5" system straigfht through, no back pressure problems and it opens up nicely on the straights.
