I thought it was your Manta Carl, I wasn't limiting the list to 300's only, someone told me there are other cars about, and that some Volvo 300 owners also own other vehicles, not sure if I believe them yet though!

MJ, that has got to be one of the most annoying things, I know of someone who had a mint Porsche 944, it wasn't very old at the time and rarely went out, and someone stubbed out a cigarette on the bonnet, that didn't polish out, so they admitted defeat and sold it to my friend. Luckily yours polished out.

Another thing that sometimes gets me when people lean on your car, often with metal studs in jeans likely to dent/scratch paintwork, or on a 300 they are drawn to the rear quarter, where on a hatchback is rather flexible on the outer skin, making it easily dentable.

Will, did you get a reply from the seller? Hope it's all sorted now, cheap debadging by someone else is not appreciated. Someone couldn't live with having V**xhall on the back of the van I now own and debadged that, in that case it's ok.

Luckily it wasn't any trouble to get out, but I did get to it quickly. Yeah, I can stand people leaning on cars like that :(

I got back from pub the other night to find next door and friends having a party on our shared drive, with two sat on Fakes bonnet. Think I'd had a few too many to drink, and might not have been super polite, but they arn't talking to us very much any more

Could be worse, I tried my 'Polak act' on our old neighbour in Derby when he intentionally crossed the road really slowly....twin 40s at full bore made him break into a brisk jog...sm56 He didn't talk to me afterwards...not that he did before, antisocial bastard!

cheers

christ Chris your so laid back ,

Not that I condone violence but,

If I had come back to that scene the neighbour WOULDENT be able to talk for a while .

At least not until the wire was out of their jaw and they had found all their missing teeth.

even if it wasn't the neighbour sitting on your car , it was his guests and
( in my view ) therefore his responsibility .
he should be on his hands and knees apologizing to you.

when you see him , tell him you want the names of the guys sitting on your car as you are thinking of claiming for criminal damage .

Shared drives are one of my pet hates and I would never buy a property with one , they can cause so many disputes over the smallest of things.

But this incident just shows blatant disregard on the neighbours part for your possessions and property

ok tablet taken , rant over

Oh Chris ,I just thought was this on the island ?
if so your neighbour must surely be related to you in someway which makes it even worse !!!!!!

Ok Guys should be sorted now - cheques in the post and all that.
Thanks again Pete for the Link.

Interesting comments about damage to cars from seemingly mindless vandalism.

I try to be philosophical about it - realistically you would be lucky to find the culprits and life is too short to get in state about something you can`t undo.

Hand on heart - I can`t say that I never did anything stupid or mean when I was a youngster.

That said if I`d have caught them in the act ........
You only need two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and
it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Nah, was Southampton Mick, and yeah, I was a bit laid back, they are moving out in a few weeks, and so would be very easy for them to cause havoc/damage and bugger off. They seem to be having a load of evening where 10-20 of them just sit on the drive and make noises, although the best so far has been when i came back to find one of their friends parked on my drive.

C*cks.
