Think you need your eyesight checked Steve ;) I'm not sure how much difference it would make tbh, but drifting must put some extra strain on the wheels I'd imagine.

Ben, if you are keen, a Uni engineering shop if you are on the right side of them will often do jobs like making spigot rings for a couple of drinks!

Problem is Mick, there are lots of sizes of centre bores. However, maybe Vaux/VW and Beemer sizes, as these seem most common! Whats you thoughts Dai?

standard volvo alloys aint exactly great , especially the 340 ones

I know which I prefer

sometimes its better to look further afield and dare to be different,
just because it isn't volvo dosen't mean its chav or crap

the only decent volvo alloys imo are Petes vesas

But thats cos you like the multispoke look, which prolly comes from when you were a nipper, and saw MGB's going round with wire wheels ;)

The 400's and 300 accesories have some great 5/6 flat spoke that look great in rally style, just look at Ali's!

Have to confess, I do prefer the the 400 series look for the 300's. Looks really good, although I do like the multispoke bit, but mostly only from old school BM's. Out of preference it'd be Minilites FTW, but I don't have 400 spare for wheels and tyres at the moment.

my first car, a mark two cortina  had alleycats so I suppose the die ( or Dai as we now call it ) was cast then,

I love anything with a bit of charecter to it , minilites and mambas are great wheels as are the avez style on Steve p's car and of course the 100+ jets I have on the golf but its hard to get excited about a biscuit tin lid with slots cut around the edge like the redline had

The moon discs are a crap looking alloy imo. The 5 spoke 300 alloy is quite nice though and most of the 400 series alloys do look good on 300's (anyone know of a 400 series wheel that looks cack on a 3?).

I dont think spigot rings are something that I will be doing tbh mainly as I dont think there will be much interest tbh.

The only alloy wheel that I think looks good on a 300 that isn't OEM is either the ones on SteveP's car or Minilites.

I agree that the standard Mk3 GLT alloys are crap, but given the range available from the Mk2 or from the 400 series contains some decent looking rims anything else looks cheap and nasty. The Golf and/or Nova wheels look like nasty copies of the Vesas that Petefarrel360 has on his and even common ones like Cetus, Pollux or Atlas look way better than most aftermarket stuff. Then when you consider that Canis, Pictor or Vesa look so good I do question why people would put such aftermarket stuff on their cars that makes it look obvious that they are aftermarket. We are not BarryBoys and as such chavvy mods like cheap 'rimz' and other 'bling' things just make our cars look awful

Volvos of all ages and sizes are meant to be discreet and classy, not blinged out Chavmobiles.

all I can say to Ruperts comments is , opinions vary ,

the golf and nova rims are cheap ( the ones I had on the redline cost £30.00 with a set of legal tyres) and far more readily available than the vesas , ( I think they look far more like bbs rims than vesas anyway )

dont forget people are talking of using these wheels for drift cars ,
I think Pete would have a heart attack if he saw someone spank a vesa into a kerb.

not everyone one wants to be a sheep and stick to volvo rims,

also I dont know when you last went shopping for alloys but a good set certainly aint cheap

I have a set of freshly refurbed "redline/blueline" (also 360 GLE Injection) rims for sale...and a pair of the cross-spoke chappies you got on Metros. I'm pretty sure they're 4x100.

cheers
