has anyone got any speakers (stock or other 4") preferable for the rear of a 340.

nessy has some. they were 6x4" speakers, sourced from maplin. they're a bit sh1t tbh. you could try these

the stock ones i'm sure don't have much of a response below about 120hz. the engine noise sort of makes up for this but it would be nice for a full range sound. i bought a maplin bass guitar speaker and it was dire indeed.

the sockets do look more 6x4 than 4" conical so they may provide a good air movement size.

Your just in luck i have a full, repeat full set of used genuine volvo speakers, i.e. the 2 front door panel ones and the 2 rear rectangular ones.

how much would you be looking for? would be willing to split the set cause my front ones are still reasonable. per chance you didn't just sell a rev counter to a guy in suffolk did you?

I'd consider maybe having the front ones, if you did split the set?

i should have a couple of sets of them lying around, but i maybe threw them in the bin. they are sh1t ansyways

just get any 4" speakers. i had some old jbls that came in my old car that with a small amount of bodging were able to fit fine into the origional mountings.. sounds about 50 times better than the origionals

Prices are as follows...

For the front speakers - £5 + P & P - Vario Si

For the rear speakers - £10 + P & P - Vart

Hope these figures sound reasonable, and if you are interested just let me know! Appologies if i have sent emails to the wrong addresses, with all the different usernames different people have, it is hard to keep track of whos who and whos purchased what! However if i am right Vart has bought a clock and Vario Si has a rev counter! Anyhow chaps both parcels were sent today, 1st class recorded, and will hopefully be with you both either tomorrow (9th) or friday (10th)! If you can both let me know when thay arrive i would be gratefull!

sounds good. i'll have to get back to you in a few days if thats alright cause i'm visiting my brother for a few days. i think mine was the rev counter too.

I've bought some 4" speakers (bargain price - were £9.99) got them for £3.02... If they fit I'll keep them, else they go back!

The depth is 55mm, are these likely to fit?

It would help if anyone could show me a pic of a standard 4" speaker from a 300 door before I take the door bits off... Please?

That's a mk3 version - no idea if they differ?
