Last night I joined the rotten/broken front strut crew and now I need 2 spring cups to weld onto the struts. Or a complete set of repaired struts (long shot i know)

I'm competent enough to weld the cups but finding the cups themselves is a nightmare. Has anyone got any?

It seems hadrian don't have stock at the momment.

Ill be ripping the ones of my struts to coilover convert them this week ... do you just need the lower ones?

Macplax, I've messaged mac so fingers crossed he can sort me out with some as it's my daily drive so it's a bit of bugger to have happened really.

If you are able to remove yours in a manner with which they'll go back on my struts with some welding then I'd most appreicate that, thanks! Let me know how you get on.

Ken , my 74 year old neighbor's daily drive is a 360GLS Jan 1985 .

The cars been in the family since about 1986 and was his fathers car and it's suffered the front leg suspension cup crisis on the nearside.

I take from the posts that MAC might be the man to talk to about replacement bottom cups and I have PM'd him about them - but would anyone have top mounts / plates as we would like to replace - they look a bit rusty themselves.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'll get a snap of his car and post it later.

Hello, Dai (www.classicswede.co.uk) is the man for the strut top bushes although the website says out of stock. I got some exhaust mounts off him and they're well-meaty so maybe patience would be a good thing. If you want to get the car back on the road and if the strut top mounts just have surface rust, they're probably OK to re-use with a bit of wire-brushing. You can stiffen up the rubber with (wait for it.... my favorite subject) Sikaflex from your nearest marine/boaty-type of shop.

A real Big " thank you " to Mac for help with the cups.

The nearside leg is done , cup replaced and back in situ - drivers side planned for later.

The Car is for now back on the road - so attached a pic .
